I have featured the corn on the cob and the mashed potatoes cupcakes before, but I had never attempted these “turkey legs”. After bouncing around trying to find supplies (bone molds are not as easy to come by as I had hoped), I sat down and created a system. From melting candy to mold it into the “bones”, to dipping the cupcakes in graham cracker crumbs, these “legs” were not the impossible feat I had imagined. I managed to get them boxed up and ready to go, along with a few “ears of corn” just in time!
Every year, Thanksgiving is the perfect excuse to eat until you feel like you are going to be sick…for days after it’s over. Even though we didn’t have any Thanksgiving dinner leftovers at my house (we go elsewhere for the holiday), I still managed to overindulge all weekend- there may have been a few of these cupcakes leftover.
Once Thanksgiving passes, it is officially the holiday season. The Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting is tonight, sending the city into a frenzy of lights, ornate window displays, and endless festivities. Here we go, again!
